Inaugurated by the legendary Kandahar Ski Club of Murren, Switzerland, the Murren Inferno is arguably the longest and most challenging downhill race in the world. Founded by skiing legend Sir Arnold Lunn, the Inferno was first run in 1928. Its challenging 10 mile ski course includes components of downhill, slalom, and cross-country disciplines and the remains the largest amateur race in the world today.

A celebration of the holy trinity of ski racing, the Ski Race Knit “Sports Club” evokes the heritage and tradition of the 1922 Vasaloppet Cross Country Race, the 1927 Mount Moosilauke Carriage Road Race, and the 1928 Murren Inferno. Emblazoned with the inaugural year of each storied race and with color applications inspired by each event’s point of origin, this classic knitwear garment is woven of 100% cashmere Italian yarn from the historic Botto Giuseppe mill of Valle Moso.
